Keum Boo Small

A classic marriage of metals…this ancient Korean technique is called Keum Boo.  Each earring is cut from fine silver into a 5/8″ disc, and heated to burnish the gold until the metals are bonded.  We use heavy weight 24K gold foil, and the process often has overlaps of gold to create a beautiful, unique pattern.  The ear wires are handcrafted in sterling silver, no filled metals.  These earrings are offered in two finishes:  oxidized (blackened, allowing the gold to really pop), or no oxidation (fine silver shows behind the gold for a more subtle appearance).  Can’t decide which you prefer?  Get them in each style!
